We ensure quality at every step of the design and manufacturing process and consistently work to engineer the possibility of defects out of our process. To go beyond typical continuous improvement practices, we also regularly engineer and build custom Poka Yoke systems that prevent non-conforming parts from getting to our customers. We also employ the latest quality assurance testing equipment and processes in our dedicated testing lab to ensure that parts and tools adhere to the highest quality standards.
Quantifying progress by measuring is also key to understanding. Along these lines we have increased our VMM/CMM capability not only in our QA area but also in the tool room to capture critical steel dimensions for new tools. We also added a new MicroVu in both the US and China which allows the transfer of programming and measurements for tools and quality between the facilities.
